Proud sponsors of Claire House Children’s Hospice

A recent family bereavement led Changing Home director Jeremy Jordan to be given the opportunity to visit Claire House our local children’s hospice. During the visit Jeremy learnt how much Claire House needed to raise each year to keep the hospice running and keep improving the amazing facilities there.

“Looking back I was a little anxious prior to my visit as I had no idea what to expect. I should not have worried and I am so pleased that I was able to spend a few hours at what is such a wonderful place. I was so impressed by the sheer force of personality and professionalism of the all the staff. The care and help offered by Claire House is remarkable and not only assists the children but their families too. It is impossible not to be so touched by the impact Claire House has for all the children and the difference it makes as the children and families go through the toughest of times.

Claire House receives no local authority or government funding and as a charity so relies entirely on the support of many local fundraisers and businesses.  I felt it was important to try and help such a fantastic organization. As soon as I could discuss my thoughts with fellow directors Tim and Glenda it became clear we at Changing Home could help. We have decided to pledge funding to Claire House following the completion of each successful sale and letting we make. That way our clients are helping us to help Claire House.

Our target over the next year is to be able to donate a sum that would be sufficient to cover the running costs of the hospice for one day. The sooner we can reach our target the better.  We hope in helping this way that our vendors and landlords will feel they have assisted too.”

Changing Home are thrilled to announce that their support of Claire House starts today and with it comes the help of many of their clients. We hope the year ahead is successful and so ensures that we reach our goal.
